![]() ![]() I'm not sure if it has become more difficult, or I am just really bad at it. I almost went and bought a mouse that would accept macros (as suggested above). With impossibly high latency is it better to have 10 torches and continue to spam the keyboard and mouse or is it better to have 40 and hope that somwhere along the line of lag that all 40 clicks go through at the same time and just spurt through all 40 throws in on go?Ĭomment by MrBangThis is by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do in this game. How long after the holiday is this possible? I will probably be throwing torches for days until I eventually, somehow, get a lucky burst of low latency for a few seconds. I read that the achievement can be done even after the holiday is over if you still have torches. So, basically, I just want to get some information that might help me out when the time comes.įirst of all, once you learn to throw and catch the torches is it still possible to drop them or lose them? I mean, I am already resigned to the fact that I am simply not allowed to joust in the game, because you can't charge a target that isn't there anymore by the time your charge registers across the network. People don't purchase their bandwidth from Blizzard, so can not be counted on to have the bandwidth and latency that Blizzard demands for some things. At least the fireworks could be done anywhere I wanted. ![]() So I don't understand why an achievement that seems to require low latency would have been set in Dalaran. My only problem is that even Blizzard knows that Dalaran has the worst latency problem of anywhere in the game outside of a 25 man raid. I have no problem with Blizzard developing challenging quests and achievements. I see people complaining all the time when achievements are difficult or seem out of place, especially School of Hard Knocks, but if I could get through it with 10,000ms latency in Eye of the Storm and a dozen disconnects with a little hired help, then anyone can do it if they put their mind to it. All year, this juggling act is the one that has been worrying me the most. I paid off someone with a lot of gold to help me with School of Hard Knocks during Children's Week. I have overcome every other tough holiday achievement that depends on low latency including Frenzied Firecracker and The Rocket's Red Glare for the Lunar Festival (I had to buy thousands of them and keep spamming for hours). I almost never have latency lower than 2000ms and it's always at least double in Dalaran, so this juggling achievement worries me. Two cups and a string would give better bandwidth and lower latency than I have. I work overseas on a very remote military post and have the absolute worst dialup internet connection known to man. The worlds only "Bounce Piano" A floor keyboard, which Dan bounce juggles up to five balls on, playing classical music.Ī one of a kind "Bounce Cello" A Cello mounted on a pogo stick which is wildly ridden around the stage while being played.I know that it's almost two months before this holiday starts, but since it is the last holiday I have to complete before getting the Violet Proto Drake, I want to do my research in advance, so I don't miss out on it. ![]() Dan plays popular and classical music on the world's only "Bounce Piano" and "Bounce Cello".ĭan Menendez is the originator of one of the most unique variety acts of all time.
